This is truly a great place to raise a family, have access to a bigger and better school system, have all the ammentities of big town living with a small home town feel, yet still be close enough to the giant city of Houston for everything else. Having lived here only 4 short years I have experienced this first hand. My sister-in-law made the wise choice to move here 30 years ago. And proudly raised her 4 kids here, 3 of whom still reside in the area. It is a quietly bustling place with friendly people and business owners that know what customer care and service means. The churches are pleantiful, the restaurants sumptuous. Whatever you are looking for Groves has it!

First when looking for a place to live the majority of people dream of a safe place relatively free from crime with superior schools for their family. Secondly, they also like to be fairly close to a very large city to have access to airports, entertainment venues and markets. Thirdly they desire a place to put down roots that will contiune to grow economically and lastly, be in close proximity to a variety of recreational options for their free time. From our local nine hole golf course, The Peapatch, to our 90 minute drive into Houston and the miriad of close outdoor recreation options, Groves has it all. Ever striving for more economic advances and the high quality of safety and lower crime rate, our city planners are ahead of the curve making this the perfect place to grow you family.

You will see the beginning of school is right there! No school zone signs are flashing but the schools in Groves are already busy. As you are out and about remember there are kids, parents and teachers already entering and exiting these properties. We are reminded every year about obeying school zone speed signs, but as they do not begin to function until the start of school keep in mind that registration, meet the teacher, and all types of school daze prep is already happening.
